‘Mapyourname’ is the product of collaboration between three separate companies, OriginsInfo, Experian and Geowise.
The website concept was developed by OriginsInfo, a company specialising in software which enables people’s origins to be inferred from their names.
Most of the data required to build the website has been sourced from files held by the information company Experian, one of the world’s largest suppliers of consumer information services.
The contribution of GeoWise is the technology used to display the names data in map form. GeoWise is a specialist in web based geographic data visualization software.
